Hawkwell House is close enough to Oxford for you to dream of the Spires, and just far enough off to ensure your reverie isn’t interrupted by the revelry of the students.

The main hotel has 51 bedrooms including three luxury suites. There are a further 15 bedrooms in the adjacent Elm House – once the home of the Antarctic explorer Francis Bickerton – now a stylish ‘boutique’ in its own right, within the 3-acre grounds of the main hotel.
